@rohan Beardies are best

@dokidoki Got any tips for them?
I've never owned a beardie only skinks and grass lizards. Reading a bit on them but want to make sure I don't fick up-
@rohan I can;t say I have owned one either, but I have known people who have. I also had a (still do) desire to get one and so I read a kiwi ton on them.
One tip is to save grasshoppers and other critters you can't get at a store as a specialty and give those to them rarely otherwise they might become accustomed to getting them and won't eat when Winter comes. If you get two keep them separate as the male can become very territorial and arrange any "playdates" to be held within the females enclosure. They are rather smart and will associate the sound of jingling or rattling to be indicative of food if you bring non-cricket food to them in a plastic or metal container. Overall they are rather resilient and should be rather similar to the other lizards you have been handling. I can't seem to find any of my books on them so that is all I have.
Hope it helps.-
@dokidoki we will detonated only be getting one haha and I assume they need a leafy diet as well with lettuce and their tank misted? I am just super excited to own a fat bellied lizard! I wanted an iguana buttheyre pretty aggressive and require you to trim their nails and stuff and get huge so

@rohan Yes to the greens, if it gets too fat you might need to start taking it on walks.
