      @weerosie The extremely, charmingly, buggy https://quit.im/ service (which federates with all of !GNUsocial)

      Otherwise an # or # instance is great for uploading, archiving and storing, then you can either link to or embed from those places wherever you want to share the photos.

      Don't Instagram horribly ruin, compress and otherwise mangle uploaded images? Not really a good way to share, eh.

          weerosie nah, just the browser. But note that there are many bugs with quitim (and so far there's no direct effort in fixing .P)

            The worst one is that I always get a session key error the first time I login because the cookie isn't set yet or something!

          @bob no, but I have many times thought of just filtering out attachments where the notice has a certain hashtag .)
