      1. @nerthos I used to hate it, life was too aggro. Hated explaining to everyone why I had all these bandaged and junk all over me.

        1. @miki Oh. Right. Forget that I was a rare case in that I never got hurt in fights.

          1. @nerthos I dunno fights down here were more "Let me bring seven people to fight this one dude because I'm a papayay" so unless you had your crew you weren't leaving without a busted lip or whatever.

            1. @miki Right, forgot you live in gangland. I mostly got on one-on-one fights and was stupidly tough, and usually carried a blade or shiv in case someone didn't want to fight fair.

              1. @nerthos I am lucky to not have been stabbed.

                1. @miki At my school it rarely got to that point, most would just be scared and step back if someone pulled a blade or pointy implement. It wasn't so much for using as it was a deterrent.

                  1. @nerthos Luckily nothing was that extreme at school, not at mine anyway. It was always off school that idiots got big balls and thought bringing blades would make them a man.

                    1. @miki Yeah fights would be outside school at mine too. No one would be around showing their blades inside.

                              1. @nerthos Haha yeah. Some are okay, one I helped move his car and he was nice about it. Depends on how they're raised.

                                1. @miki In general I despise those kinds as their culture is pro-crime, so they're objectively bad for society.

                                    1. @dolus @nerthos Gangsters.

                                    2. @dolus A culture that romanticizes and normalizes crime, whether it be theft, murder, or general violence. Normal, civilized people scorn these acts and frown at them, while pro-crime cultures like north american "gangstas", argentinian "villeros" and each country's equivalents consider them normal and acceptable ways of living.

                                      1. @nerthos Yeah. I've seen how venerated they are by some people (just look at their cemeteries). I just don't know what percentage of the population thinks that way.

                                        1. @dolus I'm not sure and it changes drastically from place to place, but only a few of them are a huge security risk to any community.
