@kat I disagree that they're ad hominem attacks. #pulseaudio and #systemd are both examples of solutions in search of problems which deprived users of choice as distributions--not users--chose them and imposed their choice on users. Anyone who supports "free software" ought to be up in arms about this. And as such, we are looking at issues not just of good software practice but psychological issues of control and domination.

@benfell@cybernude.org I'm a bit confused here. If, for instance, my distribution decided to stay with sysvinit or went with Upstart I would also have no choice, right?
