      1. @earflaps I'm not sure yet if the Entertainment industry is trying to kill itself off for good, or if I'm just stuck with mid-90s tastes and can't deal with all this new stuff that apparently is really enjoyed by a lot of people for it to keep happening.

        1. @retl Nope. It's a disaster, nostalgia isn't blinding you.

          1. @earflaps I wonder if it's intentional to make SURE that everyone knows the series is done when the movie ends.

            1. @retl Less "go out with a bang", more "go out with a bust".

            2. @retl My God, I was so disappointed when I found out that there was going to be a Fairly Odd Parents movie. Why does Hollywood insist on making a mockery of our childhood?

              2. @acceleratinguniverse See, there were some TV-movie things like the thing when they went inside the TV channels for a movie? That was actually a pretty fun one to watch. But it's like OH HEY LET'S MAKE IT LIVE ACTION AND IT'S BASICALLY THE LAST EPISODE SINCE IT'S ABOUT TIMMY GROWNING AND AND LET'S CAST THAT GUY FROM DRAKE AND JOSH IN IT TOO SINCE HE'S POPULAR 8D I almost teared up for a second. I haven't seen the movie yet to know if it's good on its own merits, but I can't claim to be even remotely happy about what I've seen so far.

                1. @retl @acceleratinguniverse Hold on now, there's a live action Fairly Odd Parents movie? O.o How have I not heard of this, and how bad could it possibly be... o.o I'm curious now.

                  1. @haganbmj It's got Drake Bell as Timmy... yeah. It looks awful.

                    1. @acceleratinguniverse Damn, that sounds horrid. I think I'll have to find it and watch it... -.-

                  2. @haganbmj Never been a fan of most cartoons, so I wouldn't know.

                  3. @haganbmj I don't think it's out yet, but I just saw an ad for it on Nick's site.

                    1. @retl Good to know. I'm really looking forward to it then. If anything, it'll be worth a laugh >.> - they also seem to kill stuff with live-action

                      1. @haganbmj I probably should watch it. If for no other reason than to find out the fate of Cosmo and Wanda.

                2. @retl I have never liked a live-action movie of a cartoon or anime. Ever. They're all just greedy corporations trying to make money off of nostalgia, and that infuriates me.

                  1. @acceleratinguniverse Scott Pilgrim VS the World was an awesome movie with some holes in it. But I think the logical-gaps were there mainly because of the ~2 hour time limit.
