    Modem did a spontaneous factory reset overnight. Thought I was stuffed, but miraculously for me I had a config backup. This is unprecedented.

        @theru Me too. It was on the hard drive from my previous PC, which is plugged in but never mounted (I really must acquire more cruft, so as not to waste it).
