@nerthos Depends on the community you live in really. Some are more tolerant than others. America can be really bad for this. So can Germany, if Mastodon and some of Twitter is any indication.

@maiyannah Eh there's the fascist imbeciles here like everywhere else but no one really /needs/ to deal with those except sometimes for work, and for work there's not much of a need to socialize.

@nerthos Yeah, its just not universally easy for all people is what I'm saying, especially if they live in communities essentially controlled by those kind of those people.

@nerthos Some parts of the states are literally pretty much mini tinpot dictatorships, ruled over by these "progressive authoritarians" Its why it broke out in such violence with the election.

@maiyannah Oh, yes, they have more private funds over there. It won't happen as fast as they don't depend entirely on money stolen from the state to operate. But they likely won't make it to 2020. Or rather they will, but only in small, fanatic groups that'll be looked at like crazies as the claims of how the apocalypse came with the right wing are shown to be false and things are better than before.

@katiekats Hahaha, that'd work. Got a few of those around too. Practice ones on the garage, one on here, a saber I'm rebuilding the handle of in the bedroom, and there's a small poorly made one laying around somewhere.

@katiekats Actually the wall at one of my friends' house has a small hole from my dai katana. Took it to his place once to fool around and he started swinging it in his dining room until he accidentally stabbed the wall. Nothing happened to the sword as it's mostly dull since I used it for practice but I'm pretty sure he had to explain that hole to his mother the next day.
