@dokidoki @tijagi we're selling entry tickets for groups and paid guide services so the answer would be yes - they're museums. i can't find the pricing in english but here are group prices: http://visit.auschwitz.org/cennik-kart-wstepu-01-2017.html

@tijagi @dokidoki mentions of "polish death camps" have been made illegal as an anti-propaganda measure. it's mostly baseless internationally since foreign press and foreigners in general don't fall under the scope of polish laws but it managed to scare german zdf into publishing a bananaty correction.

@roka Poland, too cool for illegals
-
@nerthos not exactly, we had trouble with chechens applying for asylum (and causing trouble) for a long time now but the combination of lack of existing migrant diasporas, no perspectives on the job market, high refusal rates, the fact that the majority are locked down in migrant centres instead of being settled somewhere else since officials usually decide they are all likely to flee westwards, pitiful and rather meticulously controlled gibs and general unwillingness from both the populace and officials to tolerate them makes it not a desired place to stay. there was a compilation of screenshots circulating on /pol/ where various migrants were describing their harrowing experience here, it was hilarious.
however according to papers a while ago, poor new germans are illegally crossing the western border to shop here for food since it's cheaper. we need to build a wall, badly. -
@roka Well if you get a link send it.
Why a wall, bunkers worked back in WWII. You guys could hold the line against the German army for a while while severely outnumbered so I don't think trespassers would be an issue. -
@roka Oh, right, forgot about EU free travel. My bad.
Still I don't see why countries don't set up bunkers on major entry points, not even for war, but to stop stuff like druglords or whatever. They also look cool. -
@nerthos a) we're not at war
b) eu rules make it impossible to perform checks on borders between eu member countries
at least people are seeing now why it was always a bad idea.
