  1. @clacke I'm not exactly pulling the classical liberal card but liberalism has been characterized in my mind as reform rather than revolution, free speech in the american conception has been a cornerstone of liberalism and now its suspiciously being abandoned using arguments straight out of communist (actual not "american epithet" communist) playbooks. Intersectionality is conceptually different than liberal as of mid-80s or maybe even mid-90s "equality". I don't think its just social advancement because in the past this meant "gays and blacks need access to the american dream" and now it's "america needs to be torn down to its roots before real change can be enacted" it's just fundamentally different philosophy and people can't tell the difference because they're just p-zombies

It's like an athlete who starts lifting because he's not strong enough to perform properly at work, and once he manages it sets up a higher goal and so on until he's pumped full of steroids trying to lift a horse for a world record, just to say "see I'm still relevant and cool"
