@lambadalambda @dtluna the Soviet Union was socialist in the technical sense but not communist in the technical sense (even though usually described as such). It was socialist because its leaders believed that the apparatus of the state could be harnessed allegedly on the behalf of workers, although in practice only on the behalf of a central committee.
