@moonman A safe way to go is to only take as "canon" what has been written by the original writers of a character. The rest is official fanfic material.

@nerthos @moonman The problem there is that the characters belong to soulless corporations that determine the canon. The original creators don't have the rights to the characters, so they don't get a say anymore, which means that even if the original creators were to say something, their stuff would be the fanfiction. Don't give up the rights to your characters, kids.
