    3. @moonman A safe way to go is to only take as "canon" what has been written by the original writers of a character. The rest is official fanfic material.

        1. @maiyannah Does disney even have the same script writers the old movies had? Many of them are likely dead by now

      2. @nerthos @moonman The problem there is that the characters belong to soulless corporations that determine the canon. The original creators don't have the rights to the characters, so they don't get a say anymore, which means that even if the original creators were to say something, their stuff would be the fanfiction. Don't give up the rights to your characters, kids.

        1. @boco @moonman That's what I meant. I don't consider stuff canon just because it has the brand on it, I take anything that wasn't written by the original writers as expanded universe (aka fanfic with a thumbs up from the copyright owner) regardless of who owns the brand.

          1. @nerthos @moonman Yeah, I gotcha, but I guess I was speaking in a more legal sense. Anyways, with Wonder Woman, I feel like the dude behind it may very well have said, "Yes. She has a big, throbbing dick that dwarfs mine".
