  1. I hate the way people keep implying Homestuck is hardcore because Hussie keeps killing the characters. It's really not. Killing a character and having their death have little to no effect on the story beyond a slight design change is not hardcore. It's not even good storytelling.

      1. @mushi It's about time.

    2. @woona @mushi "everybody has sex with everybody else and why do the gray things have horns and what the dole and what and huh and arent they supposed to be like 12 and why do they type like that and holy murdock is there a plot" Saw this and reblogged on Tumblr. What I think in a nutshell.

        1. @mushi @woona I had nothing wrong with the fans (even if they're a bit strange, but then again, that's not saying much, considering our interest), but it's something I doubt I'd get into.

      2. @scribble For what it's worth, that's about as good a representation of homestuck as the starfire cuddlecakes article was of MLP.

        1. @ceruleanspark To be fair, it's like a Tumblr rendition of what I think of Homestuck. Guess the niche just doesn't appeal to me. Then again, I also don't have the patience to sift through a million comics to see what the appeal is.

          1. @scribble I mean, if you're basing your decision not to read it off of that description, literally everything in it is wrong.

            1. @ceruleanspark It's is mostly just impatience anyway. Unless there is something in there that I know would interest me greatly, I'll probably stay away.

              1. @scribble If you're not into timetravel, parallel universes or JRPG style man-vs-god conflicts, homestuck has very little to offer you.

                3. @ceruleanspark Eh, I don't mind them, but I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with them.

    3. @woona @mushi In all seriousness, the comic is well over 6000 panels long, and it contains 2 or more hours of fully animated flash content. Asking someone to summarise it is like asking someone to summarise several novels and a movie. It doesn't work.

        1. @mushi That's the only way really. Even if I tried to shorten it for you, it'd miss out so much.

    4. @woona Yes. It's got a slow start, as it needs to introduce the reader to a lot of concepts in a fairly short space of time, but once it gets going it's actually amazing.
