If we're open about watching and loving a show filled with brightly colored ponies, why are so many brny shirts black? Why don't we dress in a vibrant rainbow of colors that reflect our beloved ponies?

@erfunden I dunno. My only black one is a Luna one.
-
@eaglehooves I'd say it's pretty valid for luna to be on a lack shirt. Or maybe deep purple ^_^
-
@erfunden Well, I never wear bright pastel colours anyway, so I don't see why do it.
-
@nerthos Why not?
-
@erfunden Maybe because bright colours don't fit me?
-
@nerthos But a show with bright ponies does? (I hope I'm not coming across as adversarial. I'm certainly not trying to tell you what you should do, just trying to see your logic)
-
@erfunden I think black works better for this one: http://ocularproof.spreadshirt.com/scripture-front-back-A8056374/ I've got a Dash one on cerulean blue around here somewhere too.
-
@eaglehooves I agree! Very black and relatively subtle! I can't take too much of apersonal stance on this one way or the other as I have no ponywear.
-
@erfunden I don't watch the show for the colours, I watch it because I like the story and drawing style. I couldn't care less about how bright their colours are. Because those colours fit cartoon horses, it doesn't mean they'll fit me too. Maybe if I were 1.70 and androgynous they would fit me, but I'm 1.84, with a beard and mustache, and germanic features. I basically look like a teutonic warrior.
-
@nerthos So what colors look good on a teutonic warrior?
-
@erfunden Sober colours. Black, blue, white, red, brown, dark green. Those fit me.
-
@nerthos I can respect that. I tend to wear earthy greens and browns myself. So do you find many pony shirts with "sober" designs to match the colors?
-
@erfunden I usually download the images I want, and bring them to one of those places where they put designs in shirts.
-
@nerthos Custom shirts then. Nice!
