    2. @rainbowflash Who said the Hub's going to die? That sounds a bit premature. @sprinkles And? It doesn't mean I don't want it.

      1. @starshine We all want it.

    3. @rainbowflash Because they've already had tons of other content from the past 16+ years keeping them afloat while waiting for the next hits to come, whereas Hub is kind of a conversion job from Discovery Kids. I don't know about anypony else here, but I never watched Discovery Kids.

      1. @rachaelmcnugget Nothing yet. I think it's still a bit soon to sound the klaxons.

    6. @rainbowflash Hub as a channel doesn't really strike me as very fascinating either, though the issue is probably that I pretty much avoid TV entirely as of lately as most of the shows I used to care for have entered rerun-forever phase, now. Or moved to specialty channels I'm not willing to pay extra for. Hub has MLPFiM, and I'd gladly fund pay for it on-demand on my PC or on DVD/BluRay, but DVD doesn't exist yet except the one that came with the toy, and while they have iTunes? iTunes kinda freaking hates Linux. Come to think of it, it seems to hate everything.

      1. @retl Plus Hasbro/The Hub doesn't get the majority of the profits from the iTunes downloads anyway

        1. @rnbwdashiswin That's going to be a bit of a revenue hit either way they go about licensing. For example, I'm pretty sure to put it out on Blu-Ray, they might have to go through Sony for that, aaand that's less money they make. But I don't really feel like looking up that info right now.

      2. @retl I would gladly pay for a la carte cable if it existed. I'd get me some Hub and nothing else, and not have to pay a big cable bill for a bunch of channels I don't care at all about. I think that'd be worth $5 or $10 a month.

        1. @starshine YES this why is this not an easy option

        2. @starshine I hate that the cable company harasses my boyfriend when he says he's not into cable. We're not paying like $50 a month for a billion channels we'll never watch.

    7. @rainbowflash The iTunes thing or the TV thing? :B I haven't missed it a whole lot since videogames let me interact~ I like the whole interacting thing.

    8. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/06/28/t/96790 There was some discussion a couple weeks ago here (click "in context") about the possibility of Hasbro dropping the Hub due to low ratings and stuff, but never mind that; they're doing great.
