repressive regimes and archaic religion and customs resulting in the failure of the sexual marketplace (ie low chance of marriage) is blamed for extremism in the middle east. But what if people thought that way about extremism in the West
instead of letting IS fighters return and helping them de-radicalize and integrate back into society instead of punishing them, would anyone do that with school shooters here?-
@moonman It's just more of the racist and sexist unspoken assumption of the mainstream left (mostly): white western men are the only people considered to have agency and be responsible for their actions. Everyone else is a victim of their environment (for which the only people who are responsible are white western men).
