  1. Hey everypony, I'm gonna introduce my mom to MLP:FiM :) what's a good one to start her on? I actually haven't seen all of the episodes yet, only about half of them.

    1. @monoclesmile The first two explain a lot.

    2. @monoclesmile I'd say start at the beginning, but that's just me. What episode got you into the show?

      1. @starshine @drewdle I think I only have time for one episode... and I first saw the one with the sonic rainboom. Don't remember the title of that one >.<

        1. @monoclesmile It was called Sonic Rainboom. #

          1. @starshine Ahahahaha oh. Derp indeed. Thanks! I guess we'll start at the beginning... Less confusing that way.

        2. @monoclesmile I'm not as fond of the first two. They present the characters in a very flat manner - serving only to introduce the raw personality of each briefly. I'd go with something like Fall Weather Friends (13), Sonic Rainboom (16), or perhaps Ticket Master (3) - Not entirely sure tough which is best.

          1. @haganbmj FWF hardly introduces most of the characters, though. I'm not sure if Rarity and Fluttershy are even in that episode, and Pinkie Pie's (minor) role might be annoying to those who haven't been introduced to her before.

            1. @starshine Fluttershy just has the one scene really where she's introducing herself to Twilight and meeting Spike. Rarity goes full on drama over Twilight's hair, and that's about it. It's not really a good example of the characters in my opinion - just a raw look at their rough personalities/qualities (fluttershy = shy, rarity = fashion) :/

          2. @haganbmj Oh you make a good point... I never saw the second one, but the first didn't really impress me too much... Hmmmm.

            1. @monoclesmile Yeah, the pilot is best watched both episodes at a time. One thing it does have going for it is it ends on a fairly interesting cliffhanger, so those who were at least somewhat interested will want to watch more. (You haven't seen the second episode? That one's great! Giggle at the ghostly!)

            2. @monoclesmile Episode 2 is alright - I wouldn't recommend it though without seeing the first beforehand; it picks up where that one left off. I think it's a judgment call for you, what kind of story would they like?
