  1. Clearly now is the time to compare my surprisingly potent addiction to oxymetazoline to something actually serious, like heroin use or something.

    1. @ceruleanspark Bleh. Medine addiction is horrible. My dad's basically addicted to OxyContin (I think that's how you spell it. Basically looked it up right now.) and he refuses to admit it. He basically blows up if he can't get it, even if the replacement medication he's given is stronger. :/

      2. Goddamnit @minti last time someone mentioned Oxycontin by name on this site we got a C&D from the pharmaceutical company who makes it.

          1. @minti I think they have a bot that crawls search engine indexes for use of their trademarks and fires C&D's off at the associated contact address. They found a spammer using the tag # and we got one.

            1. @ceruleanspark I guess it's to prevent spam bots trying to sell products that pretend to be it, or something. :p

      3. @minti Yeah. I've been through withdrawal from prescription meds repeatedly over the course of this last year, and it gets less pleasant every time. God knows what it's like with an opioid.

        1. @ceruleanspark Yeaah, the bad part is there's not much we can do cause he basically needs it. Chronic back pain.

          1. @minti Yeah. I have a friend whose dad is the same. He's got chronic leg pains from having them run over one time. He's OK most of the time, but if he can't get his prescription filled, or takes something that interacts with them, then all bets are off.
