              1. @mushi Yeah, I like the hot weather. Especially since it's not humid here. A dry 32-35C is my preferred temp range

                  1. @mushi @nerthos My parents and I tend to butt heads in the summer and winter. They want the AC on during my favorite weather and I want the heater on during their favorite. I usually lose the arguments, so I often have lots of thick blankets on my bed. In the winter I can get up to seven.

                    1. @flaredancer Your parents sound cool. Guess it's also related to the kind of clothes each person likes to wear. I, for example, won't use anything without sleeves when exposed to the sun, to avoid getting tanned/burnt. I'm the kind who likes to wear boots, jeans, a high-collared shirt, protective chestwear, like a leather vest or stuff like that, gloves, and a duster or such on top of that. There's no way I could wear all that on summer.

                      1. @nerthos I tend to wear jeans and a shirt I've popped the sleeves off. My shoulders and biceps are too large to fit in my size women's shirts. I also keep my hair very short.

Sunday, 09-Dec-12 15:24:01 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                        1. @nerthos And, honestly, I should probably be wearing a size smaller than I do, given my waist size, but then my chest doesn't fit...

Sunday, 09-Dec-12 15:29:01 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                        2. @flaredancer Why not modify your clothes a bit? It's only basic tailoring. Also, don't you get tanned by wearing that? Short hair looks really nice on women. In me, not so much. If I keep it short, I need to use outrageous amounts of wax or gel to keep it in shape, so I just keep it long. 65cm right now.

                          1. @nerthos Damn, that's some impressive hair. I modify my shirts a little, when I take the sleeves off. I don't just cut them, I pop out the seam and then restitch the mid-line. I haven't really given much thought to tailoring them any further. At the very least, I should learn how to hem pants, since I'm too tall for short length and too short for regular >.<

                            1. @flaredancer Hemming pants is really easy. I should totally go to California some time. Teach you about tailoring, and help Scribus with his LARP equipment xD You could just copy the clothes you like, giving a couple more/few cms where it's needed. It's only a matter of trying a couple times until you get the hang of it. And there are some really cheap types of cloth you can buy to try ideas on. You only need patience, a sewing machine, thread and cloth. About the hair, it's not that impressive, I just don't cut it. No fancy treatments or anything, just shampoo (or soap when there's only those fancy lady shampoos xD) once in a while.

                              1. @nerthos Well, coming from someone who can't stand to have her hair to grow past her ears, 65cm is pretty impressive. Mine is (see attached) right now. I could get my mom to teach me hemming (she hems my pants right now) but anything past that I'd have to learn on my own. http://ur1.ca/bxqd0

                                1. @flaredancer That's VERY short. Long hair is comfortable once it gets past a certain point and you can tie part of it. Semi-long or just free, it can be very bothersome. What I know about sewing I've learned most by myself. My grandma and mother taught me some of the very basics, but past that trying to get anything from them just ends up in long winded arguments of my method against their methods. It's just like that with them.

                                  1. @nerthos I shaved and spiked my hair for years. I've always wanted short hair, even as a kid. My parents never really let me cut it past my chin, though. Once I got a job and could pay for my own hair cuts, it was all chopped off. I like it better; it suits me. I can see those arguments happening. Everyone's got a different style, though, and what works for one may not work for another.

Sunday, 09-Dec-12 16:10:30 UTC from web
                                    1. @flaredancer Hahaha, I had exactly the opposite problem. "Cut his hair short" "I don't want my hair short" "You'll have it short." Like that until I was 13.

        3. @flaredancer That's awfully high for my tastes. That's like, 35ºC? My body literally can't work at more than 50% it's usual capabilities in that heat.

          1. @nerthos you wouldnt survive here....

            1. @mushi I'm fairly sure I would just sit under a big umbrella and wait until night before moving.

            2. @mushi Also, that's usual summer temperature here. 28ºC right now where I'm standing.
