    I give up trying to install StatusNet Desktop onto this laptop. At least I don't get this problem on my PC...still irritating nonetheless though.

        @madflavors Nope, but even if I did, I still miss StatusNet Desktop's user interface :( IMO it's so much more convenient than the website's, but the website is better than no RDN at all outside of my phone, so I can't complain.

          @leonkfox we're researching the possibility of implementing an updated status feed system on rdn so that posts would automatically appear without having to refresh the whole site, much like they do on twitter, though that would be a major architechural change to the site so I wouldn't expect to see it any time soon

            @elind85 Well it's awesome to know that it's being considered, all the same :) And at least there's StatusNet Desktop until then. (for when I'm on a PC that it wants to work on)

              @leonkfox i primarily use StatusNet Desktop so I know it crashes a lot, crashes a lot less for me on Windows than on Mac OS though

                @elind85 It's only crashed on my once, I rarely have any problems with it beyond it still showing dashes that mods have deleted.

                @elind85 It does crash a lot, but it doesn't take 2 seconds to boot it back up. StatusNet Android crashes a lot more often, but it's still my favourite Android based client for RDN. (The interface of Mustard makes me want to go on a murderous rampage)

                @elind85 StatusNet Desktop hardly ever crashes on me, it just uses way too much memory. And with this computer that isn't good.

                  @rnbwdashiswin My upstairs computer is old and pretty darn slow at times, but it runs fine for me o.O (Bar for the crashes of course)
