So, I think I'm going to buy a tablet pc so I can use it for art. Android looks like as big as a maybe as the idea of getting ubuntu on one.

@shoutingryan Let us know what you find in your research and what you end up buying. I want a tablet but I can't justify 600+ Million dollars for an iPad, despite me being an Apple Fanboy already.

@iamderpy well, my research wont be including any ipads. As a programmer, I see Jobs as an evil dictator.

@shoutingryan ... please don't go "HURR DURR JOBS IS EEVIL BECAUSE I CAN COED AND USE OPEN SOURCE" on me. I like apple products because of the customer service and pleasing hardware/interface design. I'm merely curious about your research on (assumedly?) Droid/*nix based tablets, which I would be interested on getting eventually.

@iamderpy jobs is evil because he controls an ... What did slashdot call it? An auto something... Basically the opposite of a monopoly. Instead of being the only seller, he's the only buyer. He's also denied software to get in the app store, only to have Apple come out with it a year later. Besides... Even though I like open source, I don't know how I would even utilize it. Kinda sad actually.

@shoutingryan He runs an empire. Evil empire? Maybe at times, yes. Consider all of the good that his products do though. I work in the medical field, and I've seen COUNTLESS amounts of awesome done with apple products. Microsoft is learning, but it's taking a long time, and the hardware manufacturers can't seem to nail the kind of elegance inherrant in Apple Products. I like my Multi-boot MacBookPro. Lets me have the best of both worlds.

@iamderpy I never said anything about the quality of their services or products. I don't know enough about Apple to have an opinion on its usage.
