@princesstwilightsparkle I remember I use to be very original and inventive when I was younger but now I can't think of any original content to save my life. Shame what age does to you, even when you're young.

@kingcarcinopony I'm in the same boat actually. When I was young I had so many original characters and stories and drawing. Then I spent so much time trying to get my work to fit in with everyone else's I kinda lost my own style in the process. One the bright sight I am quite good a mimicing the drawing style of others :\

@kingcarcinopony Even though the stories weren't very original (though they were standard for somepony of my age at that time, that being 14 to 15) I used to be able to spend hours writing fanfics....now I got nothin'. The closest I can come to it is doing story based RP's with somepony else who does a fair amount of the creative stuff. And I'm only 20 now so yeah, age does have some pretty crappy effects on ya even early on.

@kingcarcinopony I do drink but I actually don't get drunk all that often, and when I do it's at most the stage where you're easily amused and quite dizzy. I've never gotten to the stage of..."tossing the cookies" or losing my memory and I never intend to as I fail to see what fun there is to be had there. Getting a bit drunk I can understand fully though XD

@kingcarcinopony I definitely understand how that happens. I used to write quite a bit, in my younger years. I haven't done so in decades. (Of course, having one's mother find all of your works and hand it all off to a shrink does not encourage further writing.) I've attempted to, on occasion, but the muse and motivation aren't there. Lately, I've considered putting my story to pen and paper, but so much of it seems like pure ego, even if I'm but a bit player in its events, and I am seldom one for ego.

@kingcarcinopony I never self inserted in any fanfics I've ever written (assuming you're refering to a character like Bella Swan, who was basically a self insert for Stephanie Meyer) even when I was 14-15 I didn't. I've not really wrote one for years, but still.
