    1. @pinkiepieguy nah. it can't ruin anything unless it changes the source material. or if you let it. remember, rule 34 is "no exceptions"

      1. @adrianbrony: I used to agree with this perspective, but then I played Story of the Blanks. Some stuff can't be wiped from mind easily.

        1. @retl why do people find story of the blanks to be nightmare fuel? i mean that was nothing compared to some fics i've read :\

          2. @treblecanter: A> It largely depends on the imagination to fuel it. If you already have an explanation or expectations of a scare going in, all of power in it dies. B> It makes effective use of low-resolution graphics (see A) and color choices for effective ambiance and emotion-control of the player particularly when the game shifts towards the glitch-city kind of vibe. C> Given nothing more of an intro than "we need more games like this!" when linked to the game, and having Apple Bloom as one of my favorite characters, the prospect of HER DYING is that much more horrifying. D> It's interactive. It doesn't depend on pre-built tension to work. Rather, it depends more on player/character sync. E> I don't read horror fics. I pretty much won't read a fanfic unless it's short and clopfic or humor. Period. More reason why SotB caught me off guard. Also: http://is.gd/KZ76hF kinda comes off as rape rather than murder...
