I'm a little bit concerned about my phone again. Or rather Android in general. Apparently someone called me an hour ago but the phone was on my desk and I didn't hear anything vibrate or ring out

@coffeecream Was it on silent or something?

@flamingpandaomg Not at all. The ringer volume is as loud as it will go.

@coffeecream Hmm. Have you tried calling your phone and seeing if it gets interrupted by something, maybe?

@flamingpandaomg I haven't, no. Thinking about it this seems to be a recurring problem, I don't know if it's to do with this phone or with Android in general but a lot of the time I won't get any notification for SMSes or phone calls. I mean...I know it's a smartphone, but it's still a /phone/...

@coffeecream Out of curiosity. What does SMS mean?

@lunanut Short Message Service. Most people just say 'text messages'.

@coffeecream Well I had to fix my own problem with SMS because the default messaging app only goes off once per message. I installed a new app that allowed you to set a reminder that goes off every x minutes until you read the message. Calls I never had an issue with unless I didn't have any service, which is expected.

@flamingpandaomg Maybe it /is/ something to do with the default applications for it that make it fail. If so, how hasn't it been fixed... I might try a different SMS app then.

@coffeecream I use Handcent SMS if that means anything.
