  1. The sad thing is that every one of Android's versions make me hungry except for Honeycomb. The others being Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean and KitKat.

    1. @flamingpandaomg I still wonder what 1.0 and 1.1 were internally.

      1. @bitshift No idea. I just used http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_version_history XD

        1. @flamingpandaomg You mean normal people don't just have all 9 codenames memorized already? :O

          1. @bitshift I didn't even know about Android until Froyo, but I have from Froyo on memorized by chronological order, almost.

            1. @flamingpandaomg I've used every single version except Honeycomb. I still have a fondness for Donut, even if there's exactly one device I have that was even early enough to not come with something newer. xD

              1. @bitshift Thinking about an Android phone that's older than my Optimus V makes me cringe. X3

                1. @flamingpandaomg Hey! Nothing wrong with the G1! ...as long as you keep it on Donut or lower (which is all it officially got, anyway). Eclair and Froyo don't work so great, and I don't recall it ever getting even an unofficial Gingerbread. xD

                  1. @bitshift xD dear lord. A phone that can't handle froyo?

                    1. @flamingpandaomg It could probably handle it if it'd fit on the internal storage, but because that was too small, all the existing options use apps2sd hackery, and that's just painful. xD

                      1. @bitshift Define 'handle'. X3

                        1. @flamingpandaomg It'd run. Probably not too smoothly, since the past 5 years have brought a *lot* of jumps in processing speed, and the lack of smoothness really shows itself when you have that kind of comparison available.

                2. @flamingpandaomg Although now I'm thinking about it, I do wonder if some masochist out there hasn't tried to make Jelly Bean run on it, since Project Butter might actually eke out just a little more performance...

                  1. @bitshift Oh my God. If they did try I'd have to at least commend them for trying.

                      1. @flamingpandaomg It... doesn't actually run as slow as I thought. I mean, it's obviously slow, but I was expecting *complete* unusability. xD

                        1. @bitshift I'm *really* butthurt that cyanogenmod exists for the G1 but not for either the Optimus Elite or Optimus V. XD

    2. @flamingpandaomg Oh huh, apparently 1.0 was just... 1.0, and 1.1 was internally codenamed "Petit Four". I guess the proper theme names really did only start with Cupcake. :o
