      @zachariastargazer # It will be revealed that "Derpy" is not her actual name, but an insulting nickname that was used so widely when she was growing up that everyone assumes that it is. She is too sweet to try to correct people on it, even though it hurts her feelings to be called that. By the end of the episode, the ponyfriends will apologize, and promise to call her Effy, short for her real name, Effervescent (thus her cutie mark of bubbles, indicative of her light, enthusiastic and cheerful personality).
