    Also, is there even a point to having a Pokemon on a team that can Mega Evolve if you don't use the Mega Stone?

      @rarity There is, because Pokémon that aren't mega evolved can still be really strong.

        @flamingpandaomg Gengar for example. If I were to run both Gengar and Aggron on a team, I'd probably Mega Evolve Aggron most of the time since he's terrible without it. Mono-Steel with Filter? That's absolutely necessary

          @rarity Aggron's not terrible without it though. He's still a massive wall and can stall/do a lot of damage on his own.

            @flamingpandaomg he has too many weaknesses and a abysmal Sp. Def stat to be a good wall, and his speed is too low to be a good sweeper. Mega form is a HUGE buff to his defensiveness just based on the type and ability alone. Once my Aron is an Aggron, I'll see exactly what stats are changed and how I should EV train him

                  @rarity ev train for speed and use rock polish. Doubles it's speed stat with one use, triples with two, etc.

              @rarity I'd say to keep an eye on smogon, they have the best builds for competitive stuff

                  @rarity I wasn't meaning for Mega Aggron, but the general gist of smogon still applies. EV train speed and use rock polish or automize, I just don't think automize stacks multiple times like rock polish does.

                    @flamingpandaomg how do you think I should EV train, anyway? I'm thinking max HP, and split between Speed and Attack for the rest? That sounds about right but I have no clue
