    1. @mrn4rmn4rm I don't know what my neighbors listen to, but it seems like every third song is Piano Man in spanish and I'm mind-numbingly sick of it...

      1. @colfax Ugh... That would suck

      2. @colfax I think the opposite to Billy Joel would be Pendulum or Infected Mushroom. Play some of that.

        1. @drewdle Rob Zombie is my weapon of choice.

          1. @colfax I was gonna say, that works too. He just played here last week actually. The stadium/venue is about three blocks from my place. That was a wild evening.

      1. @leonkfox Like I said before: I don't know what my neighbors listen to, but it seems like every third song is Piano Man in spanish.

        1. @colfax That tends to happen. Just like in country music. It all sounds exactly the same.

    3. @mrn4rmn4rm I ususally blast Rob Zombie to counteract it... got eight apartments in this building and I think five of them are full of illegals, every once in a while INS comes along and clears the place out, that's how we got the apaerment we have now.

    4. @mrn4rmn4rm They are! I listen to a slew of things though. Some electronic, some folk, some rock, some stuff you can't categorize. Just about everything except country.

      1. @drewdle Rap and hip-hop, even?

      2. @drewdle Or did you mean strictly music? :Þ

        1. @musicssound There's a fuzzy line for R&B and hip-hop. I like k-os for instance, a Canadian dude from Toronto. But he sort of blends both those categories and throws some rock influence in. Straight up rap and hip hop? I don't listen to it, but others can if they choose. I got a chuckle out of you singling it out for not being "music" per se.

          1. @drewdle Yeah I admit the line is blurry. But anything that calls itself rap is right out in my mind. Certain influences that made it's way back to rock have helped out a lot. And I actually didn't mean that hip-hop wasn't music, just rap. I've listened a lot to fusion bands, with influences from everything from swing, to funk, to hip-hop, to even rap, and with a good foundation groove from R&B it's really hard to go wrong.

    5. @mrn4rmn4rm Well, I usually start the show by blasting Jimi Hendrix playing the national anthem.

    6. @mrn4rmn4rm Oh it's more than just the same chords. I think every country musician in the past decade has used the same guitar and amp that they've all been sharing collectively, and no one has messed with any of the settings, either.
