Hello everypony

@ceruleanspark Hey ^^ How are things?
-
@leonkfox You changed your avatar. That's gonna confuse me for a while. I saw my doctor. He says I've got depression. I've got pills, and need counselling. That was, ironically, pretty depressing. How are you?

@ceruleanspark Sorry to hear about that :( Hope things look up for ya soon. And sorry, I change my avatar now and again ^^;

@rotation nowhere near as bad as the C word. once a doctor says Cancer to a patient, they might as well just stop talking, because the patient just stops listening
Thursday, 18-Aug-11 16:57:00 UTC from web-
@nightwillow Well, anyone would be shell shocked to learn they have cancer, thus making them shut the world off normally, I know I would!
-
@leonkfox and even if the doctor says that you DON'T have cancer, the whole "oh thank god" thing kicks in, and you shut off just the same
Thursday, 18-Aug-11 17:02:02 UTC from web-
@nightwillow Exactly. It's an extremly touchy subject and it shows. (with good reason, mind you)
-
@leonkfox oh definitely. when the results come back positive, it instantly starts the grief process
Thursday, 18-Aug-11 17:06:42 UTC from web-
@nightwillow To be quite frank, I'd want to just die there and then on the spot, rather than dragging out the pain (physical for you and emotional for those close to ya)
-
@leonkfox even though there's a chance you could survive? you wouldn't even TRY to fight?
Thursday, 18-Aug-11 17:10:55 UTC from web-
@nightwillow How many cancer patients are terminal? A lot. You're one lucky S.O.B if you even come close to surviving most forms of cancer.
-
@leonkfox but if there's a chance you could survive, then why give it up?
Thursday, 18-Aug-11 17:13:54 UTC from web-
@nightwillow Because that chance is usually small, and I'd rather go out painlessly than slowly in agony unless I was on medication.
-
@leonkfox I guess that's your choice. be sure that your loved ones know this.

@leonkfox Obligatory holla at all male bronies to get SCREENED (http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/screening/prostate) regularly! even if you're young! be safe!
Thursday, 18-Aug-11 17:14:09 UTC from web -
@leonkfox Incorrect. Prognosis varies significantly for patient to patient, as well as from cancer to cancer. The level of care you receive, the type of treatment, and even the doctor performing the treatment can have a huge impact on survival rates.

@rotation It's been a long time coming really. I've felt pretty awful about everything for a very long time. It's almost a ray of hope. I don't have to feel like this forever. This isn't the way you're supposed to feell all the time.
