@themailmare It's a hard choice. Sometimes we sideline the friends we're comfortable with romantically in favor of somepony that gives us butterflies, but in the end, the giddiness will wear off and we'll be left with another normal friend even if it takes a while. Being young, it's hard to recognize that sometimes. Of course I'm rambling.. Your situation might be completely different. It seems like some honest soul searching may be in order for you. Is your long-time friend somepony you trust and could see yourself being happy with?
