@fallinwinter They're both fear motivated though. The fear of terorrism (a low probability event) drives people to wait through increasingly intrusive security checks, but the fear of dying in a car crash doesn't deter anyone from driving.

@fallinwinter It's also why you need to be scanned and background checked to even set foot on a plane, but nobody thinks twice before driving to work, despite the fact that thousands of people die in car accidents daily.

@fallinwinter Yeah, it's the one you wrote the song for. It's easily going to meet their length requiremets, and I have an excellent proofreader. My one concern is that it is neither a generic shipfic nor a 30000 page grimdark torturerape fest, so it doesn't really fit with the sort of things they normally post.
