@thepulseofdawn It's also generally a good nexus for all things pony. Just need to keep in mind that its purpose is to aggregate, not to serve as the final say on anything.

Oh neat, !EQDaily is showing this thing about potential CMC hoodies. http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/04/cmc-hoodies.html That's pretty nice. I'd like to have a CMC related line on the back of it like "find yourself" or something, but the idea is neat. Not sure how much I want to trust some random guy on forums I don't visit to handle getting me some clothes or something, though...

Hey, everypony. I won't be back on until later tonight, but I just wanted to share you a story. Now, last time I checked, !eqdaily announced that there were Pinkie Pie backpacks at Wal-Mart for $6.00! So I was like, "Heck yes!!" and drove down to get one. Well, no Pinkie Pie, but there was a MLP backpack that I bought; however, when I got to the cashier, they rung it up at $10! Ten dollars?! I politely asked for the manager, still nervous about the fact that I was going to complain about pony, and when she showed up, I stated that I have seen MLP backpacks advertised at $6 and not $10. She left to check while the cashier rung me up for a total... get this, $3.29! GOODNESS, THAT'S MORE THAN SIX DOLLARS OFF, EVEN!! I shook his hand, chirpping "Thank you!" at least ten times, ran out the store, and squealed when I got into my car. So, here's a picture of MY $3.29 MLP BACKPACK, which is now known as "The 'No-One-Must-Know-Of-My-Secret' Compartment"! http://ur1.ca/3yvwy

What kind of segments would an !rbdnpodcast have, anyway? Probably need a segment to discuss actual episodes. Whatever else goes into it should definitely be stuff that the person making the podcast would be into, but also stuff that others could connect to. Hrm. I'd personally like for a kind of humor-stuffed podcast.

@retl That is an interesting idea. However, I like to remind people that unless I say so, there is no "official" Podcasts for RBDN. But You may have a "unofficial" thing if you like.

@retl a couple of the things I was musing over: reading some fanfics, (over)analyzing episodes, music, maybe some brony interviews or something. If it gets "big", heck we might be able to con some of the show's staff into lending a couple minutes of their time to say hi :)

@starshine Hey, I didn't think of that. Fanfic readings seems like it could go somewhere considering some of the readings I've seen pop up on !eqdaily . I'm a sucker for listening to people analyze the episodes and draw connections between them, so that sounds pretty awesome. Music sounds good too. So many nice thoughts. Interviews could work, but I think some care would need to be taken to make sure the interviews stay relevant to what the listener would be interested in hearing. (unless the conversation gets really good, then that'ld be totally worth keeping in, I think. But it's probably a case-by-case thing.) !rbdnpodcast

@zarkanorf Yep. I don't totally agree with the list, but if I were showing someone new the series and not starting with the first one, I'ld probably start with either Applebuck Season or Dragonshy. I probably wouldn't have thought of doing that had I not seen the suggestion in the list.

@rotation I think what makes it work so well is the fact that while dressmaking & fashion shows are what happen, it's actually about more general and relatable topics, under the surface. Or something like that.

@scribus Yep. While the theme is generically "girly", the episode is written and focused in a way such that the topic isn't so much about the clothes so much as the artistic struggle to create them, and how that relates to Rarity's relationship with her friends and how her friends can effect her career. It's a pretty fun one, and a clever plan.

@bitshift turning off mintrefresh, they still get approximate times. is that an !RDNrefresh thing then?

@abigpony I assume so. They only change to approximate on my screen after the refresher has done a fetch/update cycle, so I figure the refresher has to be doing it.
