@dbigponymac before I head to bed, I'll just say, sometimes yeah, a song hits you man. Now and then One Tin Soldier will strike me at "peace on earth was all it said". Sometimes its the music itself. Music and lyrics are emotional things. These are simply, but they strike chords that are basic to all people. Somewhere in your mind, maybe the line meant something and struck you. It happens. I haven't had that in MLP yet, but I've been in sort of a weird place lately due to family issues (father is dying) and the only thing that really seems to cheer me up and get me through is MLP. so just listening to Winter Wrap Up during these papers was a huge help. Not quite shedding a tear, but I think it's a similar reaction. And now that that is said, night all!

..... *stares at site* ... and I'm done. *bro hooves all around* my girlfriend will be so proud... and then she'll yell at me for staying up til 3. now to get up in 5 hours and pass these papers in.. sit through 7 hours of classes.. come back.. put up a full webpage for a band cd launch.. finish another 3 papers.. and find time to sleep.. to wake up at 8 to go to work. #fml

@strawberryspice it's because girls are allowed to like it, whereas guys get made fun of for it. so it's a group where guys can get together where they like it. there are plenty of places where girls can get together and guys can drop in. but a lot of guys won't do it because they have gotten the stink eye for liking a "girl" show. it's a group for guys who have pride in liking a show about ponies. also sorry for the delay. my computer was saying it couldn't find this page for some reason.

@scribus well he didn't mix western and samurai. he made the samurai movies and the guys here made westerns based on them :3 his movies came far before ours. those will definitely be used though. they're amazing as far as showing the cultural similarities between our american west stories and the japanese folkloric tales.

so. anyone know any movies/shows that involve westerns and either sci-fi or samurai? needs to incorporate western somewhere. examples I have: cowboy bebop, firefly/serenity, the good the bad and the weird. also, if you think of something that reminds you of a western, let me know. aka, something like star wars, which my teacher and brother argue is either a western or a samurai movie xD *for a paper I'm writing*

@applebloomsarepetalknives actually, going through it, Twilight is scary. It's about a girl who doesn't think for herself, allows her boyfriend to yell at her, mentally and emotionally abuse her, tell her he's doing it for her own good, tell her periodically he hates her, but it's because he loves her. She can't do anything for herself.. she's in abusive relationships the entire series and it's romanticizing it for little girls. It makes me sick when I hear kids go "oh.. I wish I had a relationship like that". I would be mangoesED if a guy treated my daughter like that. As most dads would, I'd hope. It's DANGEROUS to offer that as a "good" thing for girls. it's really just sickening to me that it is acceptable to tell girls it's okay to let guys abuse you.

I think I'd just have majesty lines where the blank flank is. Once you realize that potential is what makes you special, that would be our cutie mark. So I think something highlighting the raw potential would be my cutie mark. And I realized it yesterday when I was trying to pinpoint when my special talent was. I'm good at a lot of things. Not great, but good. I like a lot of stuff. But I feel like I just have the potential to do a lot without having to limit myself. And that's pretty cool :3 anyone else?
