I want to learn game development but with no other batcave bothering me.
Hire me, mothercherryers. I'm a lot of fun.
I just want to learn some stuff being focused on the job and being sure I can pay the rent. It's few money comparing with any rent in a big city or a big house.
After that I'll move to another thing.
See? it's a good deal!

I have found a new way to cheat at math problems.
Calculate a few values of the solution, using Haskell, or Python, or whatever suits you. Then punch them into oeis.org and somebody will have already calculated the rest of the sequence, and given an analytic way to solve it.
oeis is the npm for !math- mcscx repeated this.

...I may have just written a Maidenhead Locator generator for Free42 on Android and iOS. Because, you know, there aren't already eleventy billion programs to do that natively on those platforms, so I had to target an overgrown HP-42S calculator emulator instead.
(Fun fact, if someone built a GPS module for the HP-41, and made it compatible with Free42's implementation, you'd only need to change six lines (31, 43, 53, 62 from FP to FRC; 56, 65 from 97 to 65) for it to work on that calc, too.)

@bhtooefr I played with an emulator for MVS once, called Hercules or Tur(n)key. Weird. To create a file you had to specify cylinders, IIRC
-
@bhtooefr a friend was a dev at a bank,he hated it – the IBM mainframes were (only?) used for old 1970-90s Cobol software. Afaik MVS system
-
@bhtooefr been using 68k Palm OS for a long time… also have been an Amiga user. IMO the AmigaOS was much superior to PalmOS
-
@bhtooefr I heard IBM mainframes support virtualisation at hardware level… can you run multiple Linux systems simultanueously?
-
@bhtooefr ok, I did not understand everything (no expert here) but the Palm OS comparison is a bit surprising :-)
