@frostieblizzard I'm gonna agree with you there. I'm not a big 'joiner', but it was that, and the generally good attitude that seems to prevail, that drew me into the community, as it were. So, of course, the next question has to be whether you've created a character.

@scribus You're not the first person I've heard say that about "Eaters". Strangely, I really enjoyed that book. However, I also liked "Moby Dick", so there's probably something wrong with my brain.

@frostieblizzard Bingo bango bongo. The music that comes from some of these people is amazing, innit? Whenever I see what people are capable of doing, simply for the joy of doing it, it refreshes my faith in humanity.

@scribus Although he was clearly a mouthpiece for Mr. Chrichton, who I strongly disagree with on a number of points, he remains one of my favorite characters, and that remains one of my favorite books.

@frostieblizzard Yep. My re-introduction to coffee was a quad-shot mocha from Starbucks. It really wasn't fair of my "friends" to do that to me. I didn't sleep for 24 hours. Wow. So howdja end up here?

@frostieblizzard A friend compared *me* to Pinkie Pie! I've also been compared the the caffeinated Hammy, from "Over the Hedge." Sounds like you identify with it more than I'm able to. I don't really see it in myself. I think I'm more like Walter from "The Big Lebowski", but whatevs.

@frostieblizzard I get the same question. A lot. Well, nowadays people ask me for directions a lot, but that may be because I haven't been to a rave or a club in way too long. I used to always have people come up to me and ask for X. :) So I totally understand. Well, I can imagine why you like ponies, if that's your basic personality type.

@abigpony Oh, it's this old thing about cultural expectations. You sometimes find references to it about the old west. "When the men were men and the women were women" like, they fit right in to the stereotypes one might have about such roles.

@abigpony Nope. Just an old saying, like, 1800s old, which I was sort of making fun of. "Where the men are men and the women are women", y'know. I mean, I know what they mean, but of course they are! A thing is always equal to itself, cultural expectations notwithstanding.
