  1. @rarity Look the point is we need to build a giant-ass bridge and if I am elected president that will be the FIRST bill I pass.

  5. @rarity Basically they consider themselves a world apart as within that so called divide they hold a culture much different to most of Asia. Race can be argued too, I suppose

  7. @rarity If we go by defining continents as generally unseperated groups of land, yeah. Although there isn't an agreed upon definition of the term, so it really comes down to the boundaries set in the definition of the term given how nebulous it is by nature.

  8. @rarity Yeah, true, otherwise the Subcontinent of India would just be another continent too.

  10. @rarity I know in some geographical circles they're grouped together as Eurasia, although in all honesty all of the continents are very loosely and arbrutrarily defined anyway.

  13. @rarity You'd hate this one particularly as it's bent on keeping a portion of the population educated and rich and the rest dumb and poor, using the security forces to keep peace.

  15. @rarity I mean, news don't reach all the way to where you live, but not long ago people there were openly rioting because of how bad access to education was, and getting repressed big time. You really wouldn't like the place.

  16. @rarity No. It's because they have one of the most steep gaps between low and high class in America, they butcher Spanish like you said, and they've been indoctrinated to hate their neighbors. One guy in my extended family was born there and ended up moving away and telling everyone he was Argentinean because he couldn't stand how xenophobic Chile was. They went to war with basically everyone around them, even though they're an independent nation thanks to the efforts of the other countries of the region, and have alienated everyone around them, mostly Peru, Bolivia and Argentina, their direct neighbors.

  17. @rarity The only thing on the other side of that border is Chile, and they're that neighbour everyone else in the neighbourhood hates.

  18. @rarity No. Islam in Abkhazia used to be welcomed with open arms. It should be again.

  21. @rarity I honestly don't know who to blame without pointing out my obvious biased. I'm one of those racist scumbags whose line needs to end.

  22. @rarity Plus it really can't spare to be ethnically exclusive because Abkhaz are quite literally a dying breed. We have been for generations, be it attempts to out-breed us, push us to exodus, or just kill. This extreme is what bred those calling for Abkhazia to be exclusive. I for one rather would see more people live there. We were all brothers once. We certainly didn't try to vanquish one another.

  24. @rarity And that's why I say you'd need a god on your side, to be able to convince or force every single human to do so.

  26. @rarity Even if things like money didn't exist, people would still try to achieve a following to have their way and have more influence than the next guy. Me and you might want to make for the sake of making, but not everyone is a good person, and not everyone wants to play fair.

  30. @rarity No, I'm not talking about ideological differences, I'm talking about masking personal interest as ideological differences to trigger people into conflict, thus making it easier to stealthily further a goal, usually getting riches or power. Look at populism, left vs right, gamergate, whatever. It's always someone sparking a conflict to gain something, tagging someone as the enemy.
