I know some Swedish-speaking people in Finland have a "slang" variant of "moi" that is "moin". But in this case it might be short for "morning"? Sounds the same if you say it quickly :-)

@jla It's actually temporal. Downvoting content over a certain age has no effect on the users total karma score. I don't really care about karma as a value, I just think it's hilariously petty that they'd do that AND THEN tell me.
