If you're determined to get rid of Google once and for all, be aware that it might mean more than simply switching search engines and email providers; for example, what about your phone? Are you ready to start using #Android without Google Services? (It's very possible, but not very practical since some apps cannot run without them).
You're going to start fragmenting your online life a lot too (a good idea if you ask me, since you don't leave all your eggs in one basket), which will mean more passwords to remember. You won't have 15GB of cloud space close to you either, but that will force you to value more your data and keep it with yourself in local backups. -
