@kat #DrWho was initially aimed at "intelligent 14 year olds" & matured with its audience, so has been pretty adult since at least the early 70s. The spin-off series #Torchwood OTOH was no more mature (arguably sillier) but shoe-horned in one tediously explicit sex scene per ep.
