The downside of being perpetually two weeks behind my #RSS aggregator: I had no idea Terry Gilliam wasn't dead. http://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/sep/09/terry-gilliam-dead-monty-python-variety-blunder #Python

I pretend to like #Krugman for the quality of his thinking, but really it's the cultural references: "I have never, to my knowledge, declared that someone’s mother was a hamster and his father smelt of elderberries." http://ur1.ca/nn65c #q #Python

How did salt become an ingredient in confectionery? #DLW is trying to persuade me to eat chocolate with "not that much salt in it". It shouldn't have _any_ salt in it! Or lark's vomit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dy6uLfermPU #Python

@windigo well, after more poking around I've decided I'll try it. Found a really nice tutorial to start with. But before I go down that path I need to solve my hardware problems and see how I can do a fresh install of Debian - preferably without losing all my programs (or at least after getting a complete list of programs so I can install them again). #django #python #firstthingsfirst

@mk and I just found a 'new' bug in identicurse: I was inserting a (simple) string in a line that had a unicode (accented) character in it - and sudenly it crached with a "Unicode error", it went too fast but I suspect that was the moment the accented character should flow to the next line. #identicurse #bug #python

I didn't think the #Coffs lifestyle could get worse than cask wine and instant noodles. Turns out the noodles were an extravagance; a single 50c instant soup sachet will do for two meals. Cue #Python's four Yorkshiremen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xe1a1wHxTyo&html5=1

there's a #python script (1) to import contacts from another account more easy, that could be used then. (1) http://www.skilledtests.com/wiki/Statusnet_problems#moving_to_another_instance.3F_take_your_friends_with_you

A dose of #Python pastiche. I have an inexhaustible supply of this, and a surprisingly poor reputation as a red-hot lover. http://mjd.id.au/node/55083

@mavjs :) I was thinking of that but there are more languages. #Python is on my todo list (after having used so many languages learning a new one is becoming less and less attractive). Need to learn #Bash scripting firster! (btw, whatever happened to Ada? once upon a time that was intended to be a better educational language.)

Winter is over and the Long Season of Complaining About the Heat has begun. "'It's hot enough to boil a monkey's bum in here, your majesty,' he said, and she smiled quietly to herself." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_f_p0CgPeyA&html5=1 #weather #au #python

Just understood yield in #python. The code I was looking at that was mighty mysterious now seems very elegant.
