Well... the great #HRT shortage of 2019 has hit here in #Sheffield.
Can't fill my prescription at the pharmacy -
Yesterday I saw two groups of Chinese people in #Sheffield having a huge argument about #HongKong. There were about 200 people in total. Police were separating them. They were shouting at each other in Chinese, but I asked one of the people there and they told me it was about Hong Kong.
It was quite intense.. People were very angry.
There seemed to be a lot more pro Chinese people than pro Hong Kong.

there is the "tramlines" city festival happening in #Sheffield this weekend. I've not got a ticket, but will try to check out some of the fringe events.
I've heard a rumour the Sarah Jay Hawley (ex Massive Attack) is doing an unannounced acoustic gig at my local! So will make sure I am around for that. :-) -

#Sheffield is launching it's free wifi service. I remember talking about delivering this to people at the beginning of the century. Where communities would own their infrastructure and deliver it. Own their own data and manage how it is used.
Move forward 20 years and it's happening, except being delivered by a private company, and I worry about the survelliance. I guess that it's part of turning the city "smart". -

Lots of important legal things here, as #sheffield tree protestor is acquitted of contempt, when protecting another from violence.
However.. the whole judgement seems to seems subtly chauvinist.
