  4. I guess posting images has something to do with Twitter where it's seen as way to circumvent message length. Let's post image with lots of text, yeah!

  7. @expatpaul @einebiene Now # has stockholders, they have a never-ending obligation to make money (and more mobey, and even more still). I would not be surprised if they were trying to increase "engagement" in order to raise ad revenue.

  8. @andstatus This could be part of #'s recent changes. Their 140 characters once included everything, but now, some things don't count.

  12. @bobjonkman I was thinking about your recent interaction with a # user who wanted full conversations on that site. A good chunk of T posts are autoposted links (e.g., from #), so that's normal and should be expected.

  20. @1iceloops123 The problem with # is centralisation. If the platform you use is centralised, there is no hope or guarantees for future usability.

(The # persona is still active, but decidedly less interesting.) Perhaps @anarchofortune will gain a little interactivity and the ability to answer my query. #

  22. @bobjonkman Also, I believe your tweets contain links to original conversations. Since it is often difficult enough to piece together complete conversations between #'s own users (esp if more than two parties and you only follow one), with one or two clicks, he can see more than T allows.

  23. At last night's @KWVoIP meeting I was told my # feed is a disjoint series of half-conversations. Tried to explain that's because # doesn't federate with the !Fediverse, offered him a spot on sn.jonkman.ca. Got told that it wasn't *his* problem, so he shouldn't have to do extra work to see my feed. Didn't help when I pointed out that he was the one complaining, I'm perfectly satisfied being a disjoint half-wit on #
