Studied more IPv6 and also played around with port forwarding - for which my Fritz!Box modem/router turns out to have a very nice user interface. Set up three forwards, two tested, so I'm sure the one for SSH will also work. \o/ #yay! I should encounter the SSH one #tomorrow since I need to re-establish SSH access to NAS and Linode. off to my #hammock! slow but sure progress today. Set up Dynamic DNS for one subdomain (for Hal, the NAS) at a free service; can CNAME it back to my own (sub)domain. Only thing is, their service cannot detect my IPv6 address, so I'll have to find something different, or create that myself. (I like the latter, if it's not too hard.) Now looking at tiny-small VPSs to host such little "services" on - maybe later also a DNS server. :) And still looking for a free DNS host (until I DIY) - NameCheap is out, but there are other options, I just have to test (and that takes time). So, good night !tzaf !fediverse !tempfix and everyone else :D
