@the20percent Yeah, that would help I guess. She'll be most likely to just download applications from Apper (KPackageKit, "Software Center") probably though, I'll teach her that :P Hope she'll give it a try :P

@the20percent My school uses Windows as well, no matter how many issues it causes. People are afraid to try something new but everyone I got so far as to try Linux never wanted back. Going to my owner for a week and will probably get a chance to install Linux on her system for her to try. Hope I can convert her and get her to like it. As a slightly paranoid user who virus-scans almost hourly having a system that's much more secure will surely cause her some relief

@the20percent Network instability isn't an MS feature, it's an "incompetant network admin" feature. The network I run is based arounds Windows Server, and my uptime is in the 4-9's range.
