I have managed to impress my chief with a thorough explanation why libreoffice is apple, so this postpones the moment when I’ll start worrying about jobu again. What’s on your latitudes? https://gs.smuglo.li/attachment/226799 -
@tijagi you had to use libreoffice for work? what are you gonna use now?
just slowly preparing to start the day, need to do some srs study today https://grapeposter.club/attachment/488879 -
@shpuld Sorry, I’ve been distracted yesterday.
> you had to use libreoffice for work?
Hai. A part of my job is writing documentation: manuals, terms of reference and such.
> what are you gonna use now?
Adobe InDesign. It is what Writer aims to be, but still loses even to CS6 issued in 2011. https://gs.smuglo.li/attachment/203070

@purplehippo This is a case of "the achievement was probably not that hard when you were running a proper, level appropriate 10 or 25 man raid, but good luck trying it now when no one level appropriate runs that content so you get to try it with a couple of people over-levelled"

@nerthos It was honestly much better when Garriott was running the ship. I look forward to Shroud of Virtue. My wife actually got me it as a present for christmas but Ive been holding off on it until the 1.0 release so my impressions aren't soured by beta jankiness or being awesome in beta and then they break it, or something.
-
@maiyannah Oh, I get you. I've been eyeing that one for a bit but I have too much stuff to play already.

In the meantime I'm trying to figure out how to mod the ammo output in fallout 4 contraptions factories so it makes sense to build a factory. Right now ammo is more expensive to produce than to buy, and there's no way you'll need as much copper for ten bullets as you need for 10m of wire.

Me: *plays ESO at ultra graphics with a 2K monitor* wtf why is the framerate dipping Bethesda you suck >:C
Monday, 05-Jun-17 06:34:10 UTC from web-
@mrmattimation ESO actually does have a memory leak issue. It's not lethal to the game but it's good to close it and open it again every few hours or when moving from city to city too much to "wash out" the clutter. For some people it makes running world boss farming pretty annoying due to long load screens that throw them off rotation.
-
@nerthos that also could be it, I spent a lot of time exploring Vvardenfell and the frame dip happened over time.
-
@mrmattimation I do it whenever I'm done with a city area or when the lag gets too bad.

@maiyannah @nerthos
You get a dorfy statue from the new expansion, so I'm secretly kinda hoping this lass won't want it >.>-
@katiekats I haven't bought that one because $40 lol, it'll probably go for 20 on christmas

After a careful investigation of the Manchester attacks, we were able to determine the identity of the perpetrator based on the fact that the attack happened at around UK midnight and it could be described as an "evil bombing" http://villains.wikia.com/wiki/Evil_Midnight_Bomber_What_Bombs_At_Midnight

I still have my old Radeon HD 4670 that came with the computer. Tried an HD 7770 a while back and that died.
-
I'm suspecting my kiwity PSU fried it, so before I get another card I should look into getting a PSU that won't fry things.
-
@archaeme I've been using a 700W coolermaster PSU for years with good results. Only issue I had with it was the fan giving out after 4 or so years, which I replaced for a strapped-on industrial 220v fan lol

@archaeme If you have a category three multimeter you can find out.

@shpuld The one I had was REALLY unstable but I think it was due to the rig not being built around it, my father just bought upgrades as he went by back then, and since the most demanding stuff he did was watch videos anything worked for him. That card was great though, ran Oblivion pretty well and at the time that card came out that was one of the heaviest games you could get.
-
@nerthos was stable in our system, which also was built with another (some geforce) card in mind. I think I had a sapphire one, coincidentally also running sapphire right now.
>Oblivion
yeah, one of the last games I ran on it as well, before becoming a laptop pleb for quite a few years -
@shpuld I was running it on an Asrock board with a Sempron 2800 back then, I think for a while it ran on an Asus with a Duron 1300. Assembler was Radeon.

Then again, I always prefer to buy the last model of a proven architecture than one of the first of a promising new architecture. Tends to be much more stable and more than enough to last until the upcoming design is perfected or more. With this new card I'm again able to run anything on ultra on a phenom 1100t. I love that CPU.
