@scoot I have it on my backlog, so i imagine one of these days I'll eventually get around to it. I have seen FLCL though, which is a classic and definitely one of my favourites.

@narwhal It's worth a watch, at least for Series 1. Series 2 has two or three really amazing episodes in it. I'd been putting off FLCL, but wow I was blown away by it. I'll have to watch it again to try and catch some of the details I missed due to the pace of it, but it was a very fun ride. I'm tempted to draw Haruko, but its getting late

@mrmattimation It's not bad, but there a few things I noticed. First is that the legs should be a bit longer, when you're kneeling your feet tend to be roughly perpendicular to your tailbone. Also, it looks like the right arm is connecting to the body a bit too low, given the perspective it looks like it's connecting to the ribcage and not the shoulder, where it should be. With that being said, your face art has improved a lot. The placement of the eyes, ears, and mouth relative to each other are all much more dynamic and believable than your past art (I'd personally make the eyes a little bigger, but that's just me being nitpicky). The hair wasn't too overstated either, which worked given the quaintness of Isabelle's design. For your first time doing a challenging pose like this it wasn't too bad. Keep it up Matt, I always like seeing you post drawings like this.

@noelnarwhal Ooo, that must get a rise out of a lot of people. Abstract art is pretty divisive and people tend to be on either the "That's stupid, anyone can do that. It's just a (x)!" side, or the "You're just a lesser being who can't understand the true complexity of this piece" side.

@lvbot Usually, yeah. Because abstract art is functionally, well... abstract, it's kinda difficult to formally evaluate based on visceral engagement. So people will either scoff at it or just scoff at people who scoff at it. It's also why I do it for myself and my own love of art first and foremost.
