I also had such a good working dynamic with Jonathan. He put the audio together, then I animated to it. Easy. After that I told him I wanted to handle audio myself because it gave me more freedom. Actually, it just meant I had to figure out the comedic timing myself and it just takes longer

there’s a weird Mitt Romney reference in My Little Brony 1 (originally released November 2012). I don’t know why I put this in. I never supported Mitt Romney. Some days I wish I could just go back to doing dumb apple like this for fun. Swole Foods is fun, but it’s all calculated and premeditated and TV-quality and cherry, and it takes a lot longer to do. I remember making My Little Brony over the course of four months basically just animating it after I got home from school and on weekends. Nothing about it was planned. I got home, sat down at my PC, and was like “okay what’s the next scene gonna be??” and I just drew whatever came to my mind. That was fun. http://rainbowdash.net/url/875390

@scribus The musician for Swole Foods is a furry (more or less my consultant at that point, heh) and he explained that whole situation to me, and I feel like THAT’S different because THAT’S inherently pornographic, whereas Big Mouth, much as I despise the show, is nonetheless clearly using sexual imagery as a comedic device.
