  4. Old Chinese guy who threatened to sue me a few weeks back came in today looking for vitamins that help with your memory. He must need them, because he asked me three separate times where the vitamins were. Then he tried to pay with the gift card I offered him a few weeks back, but he didn’t have the gift card, just an activation slip. I told him there isn’t enough information on the activation slip for me to charge the gift card, he tells me he never got a gift card. I tell him, sir, you’re holding the activation slip for the gift card. He says “you lie to me, i not lie to you, you mistreat customers, you bad man” and leaves. One of the more bizarre things to happen to me this week.

    • @mrmattimation Senate rule XXV. It comes up every few years, the laughter I mean. Barbara Boxer and Pat Robert's cases specfically. Eventually they'll find some poor sodding excuse to bend the rules a wee bit or some poor excuse for a politician to dump there for a while. The ones that stand out in the game of politics do not stay in there for long. Look at Mitch McConnell or Harry Reid. Gotta climb up that ladder somehow. Even if that means, to quote Dinozzo from NCIS from the start of season six "Being the only cop on a Carrier isn't in any way a 'fun' thing to do, especially for this salary".

  9. You know the scene in racing movies where you're coming in to the finish line, and you get a flat tire, then you spin out and hit the wall and get airborne and land on your nose and spin a couple times, finally ending up facing the wrong way on the infield? Yeah, my # project did that to me at 40,000.

  11. I left my phone at a Best Buy in the next town over for four hours for a super simple screen replacement and I came back and they told me to drive to the hellmouth that is Reston, Virginia, which is a seven hour drive away from me (approx. two miles), because my phone is one millimeter too big to fit in their fancy machine they use to pull screens off. I despise the Geek Squad, they have literally never helped me with anything.

    • Alcohol infused hot take :

Well if the Washington Post now openly calls Obama a Conservative, think of what that means for a second. It means that the best stabled horse in the DNC is way too far to the right of what the DNC wants themselves.

I wonder what is next. Are they going to throw him out ? Or throw allegories at him as they chant "We know why you did not fix racism, You right wing asshole !" Obviously not, but just think for a second, how crazy is that, Obama a conservative...

I sure hope he was not a conservative when going up against John McCain. I mean, what would he be by this measuring stick ? My money is somewhere in between a Inquisitor from the W40K universe and a big wooden T in someone's backyard, that might be on fire.

I hope you all can get a chuckle out of this. Except that article, no, that article is real I'm afraid.

    • They should make a new Sonic cartoon show but instead of making him a sleek anime character they should just put him back in the 90s. Make him round and short and stumpy and make him stretch like a rubber band. Throw out the model sheets, too.

    • I like watching older cartoons with CGI on Hulu because they’re USUALLY upscaled to HD (or somewhere close, it’s reasonably easy to do with film without notable quality loss, see: 90s-era Simpsons episodes on FX), but obviously most digital elements were created to adhere to TVs BEFORE high definition picture was a thing, so unless they completely re-render and re-composite everything you’re always gonna have goofy-looking scenes where Sonic, lines mostly-crisp, is standing next to a PS2-model robot with aliased, pixelated outlines.
