I like programming in Python, but I’m super skilled with ANSI and POSIX C.
Dream: Be like SoGreatandPowerful.

@metaltao ^^ Just never type: "from NAME import *"
-
@metaltao Yes, it is my third favorite after Go and C. As long as you don't pollute your namespace. http://rainbowdash.net/url/769129
-
@c It is. My favorite bits are the type system, the CSP-style concurrency, and the simple error handling.
-
@redenchilada Haha, nice to meet another programmer.
-
I like "Testing, 1, 2, 3" in season 4.

@loveydoe Not another Scheme wizard, egad! Go is the only glow.
-
Anyone used the programming language Go? http://golang.org/
-
@metaltao We aren't done with laps and sit-ups!

Friends.

Found a storyboard template generator (useful for animations): http://rainbowdash.net/url/768388

@beatstrings Swëet dreamś

@thewaifutyphoon Thanks for the correction, sorry
-
I recommend these MS-DOS games: Elder Scrolls III: Daggerfall and Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?
-
@mrmattimation Suddenly, security agents log into RDN.
-
@nerthos You are right, but the goal of "doing what you love" isn't necessarily to make money. It's more like the goal is the act itself, and the money is a bonus side-effect.
-
@nerthos You can slay criminals and teach philosophy, but you would have to deal with the consequences. In any case, I bet both of those jobs could turn a profit, hypothetically speaking.

Flyer in helmet / rescues ponies in dreamland. / Filly in nightcap.

I'm hitting the hay. Sweet dreams, everyone!

@firestormdangerdash Do not click, major CMC spoiler
-
@yodelerty Then this is where I'll stop. I am unfamiliar with cheering people up, and I don't know anything about you IRL. Sorry :( As a final note: You have a slight interest in MLP, no? And since you use tumblr, then some of your interests must lie there, right? My point is that you do have skills and interests--you are proficient with today's technology, and you are part of a very unexpected fandom. I bet there are many more favorable things about you. Good night, yodelerty :)
-
@yodelerty Why is it too late?
-
@caret7 (sorry for the badly placed Haha)
-
@yodelerty Haha! I didn't spend all my time drawing... I still went to school, watched MLP, and browsed the Web. I can't prove the worth of drawing to you; you have to prove it yourself. Your motivation is the finished drawing, but there are treasures in the process of drawing, too. At laest, that's how I see it.
-
@yodelerty Failure with your early drawings does not imply further, endless failure. Drawing only satisfied me after many months of experiment and learning from references. Over 95% of my drawings are scraps that no one has ever seen. I think drawing badly is a good sign, because it means one has more to learn and enjoy. Just my opinion :D
-
@yodelerty Just hoping to help a fellow artist :). It might not be helpful to you
-
@loveydoe Also with pencil+paper, you don't have to stare at a bright screen.
-
@yodelerty I recommend this thingy. Drawing seemed much more magical when I first read this. http://rainbowdash.net/url/767909
-
@yodelerty What first attracted you to it?
