  2. @metaltao Yes, it is my third favorite after Go and C. As long as you don't pollute your namespace. http://rainbowdash.net/url/769129

  3. @c It is. My favorite bits are the type system, the CSP-style concurrency, and the simple error handling.

  17. @nerthos You are right, but the goal of "doing what you love" isn't necessarily to make money. It's more like the goal is the act itself, and the money is a bonus side-effect.

  18. @nerthos You can slay criminals and teach philosophy, but you would have to deal with the consequences. In any case, I bet both of those jobs could turn a profit, hypothetically speaking.

  22. @yodelerty Then this is where I'll stop. I am unfamiliar with cheering people up, and I don't know anything about you IRL. Sorry :( As a final note: You have a slight interest in MLP, no? And since you use tumblr, then some of your interests must lie there, right? My point is that you do have skills and interests--you are proficient with today's technology, and you are part of a very unexpected fandom. I bet there are many more favorable things about you. Good night, yodelerty :)

  24. @caret7 (sorry for the badly placed Haha)

Tuesday, 08-Jul-14 05:27:34 UTC from web in context
  25. @yodelerty Haha! I didn't spend all my time drawing... I still went to school, watched MLP, and browsed the Web. I can't prove the worth of drawing to you; you have to prove it yourself. Your motivation is the finished drawing, but there are treasures in the process of drawing, too. At laest, that's how I see it.

Tuesday, 08-Jul-14 05:19:33 UTC from web in context
  26. @yodelerty Failure with your early drawings does not imply further, endless failure. Drawing only satisfied me after many months of experiment and learning from references. Over 95% of my drawings are scraps that no one has ever seen. I think drawing badly is a good sign, because it means one has more to learn and enjoy. Just my opinion :D
