Like, ok, I get that people want to be called what they want to be called.
(Unless it's "dogkin" or something retarded like that. If you think you're a dog you're kiwiing stupid.)
But what that guy was saying was essentially that he wants everyone to, as soon as they meet a person, ask "HI THERE WHAT ARE YOUR PREFERRED PRONOUNS". That's not how you're meant to interact with people. If somebody's logical, and not completely stupid, they'll correct you if you call them the wrong pronoun and won't be all "OMG WHY ARE YOU OPPRESSING ME".

@mrmattimation I hope that thing about someone killing themselves over this isn't true. Otherwise I mostly don't care. Tumblr is full of self-righteous imbeciles and 4chan (/b/ to be specific) is full of sociopathic middle schoolers. They both lose because they're both being stupid.

@mrmattimation If someone actually killed themselves I wouldn't call it a win. Though they certainly would. I don't sympathize with either side though because they both murdock me off. They're all idiots. The difference being tumblr is whiny and 4chan is mean and doesn't care.
