  1. The use of single and/or double quotation marks still confuses me.

      1. @scribus Well. Were I trying to write a story I'd Americanise Americanize my style, but I'm writing in script form so I'd probably stick to the English master race way.

    2. @mastertdi In the two Dickens books I have read last year he uses the ' ' for dialogue and " " for dialogue within said dialogue. I always wrote that off as an older form of usage as it seems to be the opposite nowadays.

      1. @awlditzy I was wondering about a quote within non-quote-marked dialogue. Before thinking more about it I was also stuck because I felt like there were more types than just quotes and quotes within quotes. I dunno.

        1. @mastertdi Never thought of a quote within non quote dialogue as having a separate form.

    3. @mastertdi Use " for an overall quotation and any further quote marks inside of that quotation use ' .

      1. @mrmattimation I made this much less simple in my head. Thanks.

      2. @mrmattimation Actually hey, any chance I could see an old script of yours or something?

        1. @mastertdi I wrote this original scene for my Theater final last year. It's not formatted the same way as a lot of my scripts are but it should do you fine. http://rainbowdash.net/url/815314 Also, here's the script for the unproduced My Little Brony Christmas special, which was written as a one-off thing and is relatively spoiler-free in regards to the rest of the series. http://rainbowdash.net/url/811063
